Ministry of Defence (Karti)

The Ministry of Defence of Karti (MoD) is the central government ministry responsible for safeguarding the state’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. It oversees the country’s armed forces — the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Cyber Command — and directs policy on defence readiness, modernization, and international cooperation.

  • Modernize defence equipment and conduct regular training exercises
  • Promote international dialogue and peaceful dispute resolution
  • Participate in multinational peacekeeping and humanitarian missions
  • Defend Karti’s maritime rights, political security, cyberspace, and overseas interests

Organizational Structure

  • Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force
  • Cyber Command: established to lead digital and space-related defence arenas
  • Military Service for Sovereignty Safeguard (M3S): clandestine service tasked with countering Frequent Multivectorial Threats (FMT) and conducting offensive cyber operations; formally integrated into the MoD in the 2010s

History and Key Milestones

  • 1990s: Strengthened during the resource boom, when coal and cobalt export revenues enabled expansion of military infrastructure and modernization of naval facilities along the Ozmo Sea
  • Late 2000s: Establishment of the Cyber Command, marking Karti’s entry into digital and space-related defence arenas
  • 2010s: Formal integration of M3S into the MoD’s structure, consolidating offensive cyber capabilities

Leadership

  • Current Minister of Defence: Konrad Bekas (born June 10, 1963), a retired general and career strategist known for advocating strong deterrence policies and for his interest in military history. Under his leadership, the ministry emphasizes sovereignty protection, cyber dominance, and readiness to address regional and global security challenges.
